Dear sir / madam,
ReplyDeleteDurham Council are planning a D-Day event as follows:-
Date: Saturday 06/06/2015
Time : 10am – 5pm
Venue: Fire Station Villa Real Road, Consett DH8 6BH (Free Event)
Event Aims:
To promote the Police in line with other uniformed services
To allow members of the public to engage with Police and other uniformed services (in a non-threatening environment)
To re-educate the public not to instill fear of Police into their children i.e The Police will get you if you misbehave etc
To promote partnership working with Police and other uniformed services
To promote positive community safety initiatives
Obtain positive publicity from the event
I just wondered A) If you would like to attend the event in whatever capacity you can and B) Was hoping you could muster some support by means of World war one army wear / vehicles from your acquaintances, enact the world war one German / British army football game or any other capacity which you feel appropriate. I really look forward to receiving your response.
Yours faithfully
Mr SA McCallan
